Visa sponsorship provided: No Location: Danville, VA Remote Status: no remote Pay Type: Annual Salary Salary: 90000-110000/US Dollars Occupational Categories: Engineering/ Manufacturing/ Production/ Operations Industry(ies): Automotive/ Motor Vehicles,Chemical The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting and improving qualitysystems, manufacturing processes, and product performance within alithium battery separator manufacturing environment.The Quality Engineer works with Operations, Engineering, R&D, SupplyChain, and Production teams to ensure products meet customerrequirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality expectations.The Quality Engineer needs IATF 16949 ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001background and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experiencewith manufacturing quality systems, and drive continuous improvementinitiatives that enhance product quality, process efficiency, andcustomer satisfaction.Responsibilities:- Follow all manufacturing, laboratory, and environmental safetyprocedures consistently.- Promote and support a culture where safety is prioritized in allactivities.- Identify opportunities to improve product quality and operationalefficiency.- Monitor manufacturing processes and product quality performance.- Analyze quality data and trends to identify improvementopportunities.- Investigate product defects, process deviations, and customercomplaints.- Support root cause analysis and implementation of correctiveactions.- Participate in process validation, qualification, and producttesting activities.- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.- Utilize quality tools such as SPC, PFMEA, control plans, 5 Whyanalysis, and fishbone diagrams.- Drive process improvement projects on quality, scrap reduction, andoperational efficiency.- Support continuous improvement focused on reducing defects, waste,and process variation.- Utilize data analysis and problem-solving tools to drive qualityimprovements.- Contribute ideas and recommendations that support operationalexcellence- Build working relationships across Quality, Operations, Engineering,R&D, and Production teams.- Ensure quality inspections, testing, reporting, and documentationare completed on schedule.- Maintain ownership of assigned projects, investigations, and qualityinitiatives.- Demonstrate attention to detail and commitment to product qualityand compliance.- Ensure compliance with specifications, internal quality standards,and regulatory requirements.- Assist with internal audits, external audits, and customer qualityassessments.- Maintain quality documentation, procedures, work instructions, andrecords.- Support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, MaterialsScience, or related required- ASQ certification or equivalent quality certification preferred.- 3–5 years of quality engineering experience in batterymanufacturing, coatings, plastics, chemical processing, automotive,or industrial manufacturing preferred.- Experience with IATF 16949 ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 qualitysystems, root cause analysis, and process improvement methodologiesrequired.- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.- Knowledge of quality systems, auditing, and manufacturing qualitystandards.- Experience with SPC, PFMEA, control plans, and statistical analysistools.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems.- Strong organizational and communication skills.- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturingenvironment.- High attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.Why is This a Great Opportunity :This is a Plant Startup with tremendous opportunity for growth
