We're a fast-growing startup with a strong delivery reputation, a growing roster of enterprise clients, and ambitions that go well beyond services. We're building toward product resale and distribution partnerships, and we're looking for the person who will help us get there — starting with net-new logo growth across the US.

The Role

\n

This is Next Orbit's first dedicated sales hire. You won't be handed a territory or a playbook and told to execute. You'll help build both — and then own the results.

\n

We're looking for a Founding Account Executive who loves to hunt, thrives in ambiguity, and wants a genuine seat at the table as we scale. You'll work directly alongside the co-founders, refine our go-to-market approach, open net-new accounts across the US, and help shape what Next Orbit's sales function looks like for years to come.

This is the right role if you're energized by building, motivated by uncapped upside, and want your work to have a direct, visible impact on a company's trajectory. For the right person, there's a clear and near-term path to leading the sales function as the team grows.

What You'll Do

\n

\n

Own the Hunt

\n

\n
• Drive net-new logo acquisition across mid-market and enterprise accounts in the US
\n
• Identify, prospect, and build pipeline across target verticals: healthcare, financial services, insurance, retail, and government
\n
• Own the full sales cycle from cold outreach through close — discovery, qualification, solution framing, proposal, negotiation, and handoff to delivery
\n
• Manage a disciplined pipeline: accurate forecasting, clean CRM hygiene, and a clear view of what's moving and why
\n

Sell the Full Stack

\n

\n
• Sell a blended book of business — professional services engagements and technology resale — knowing how to position both and when to lead with each
\n
• Leverage Next Orbit's vendor and technology partnerships (AWS, GCP, HashiCorp, Wiz, Snyk, and others) to source and co-sell opportunities
\n
• Help develop new technology partnerships with vendors who want to leverage our delivery expertise in their account base
\n

Build the Sales Motion

\n

\n
• Enhance and deploy Next Orbit's first repeatable sales playbook — ICP definition, outreach sequences, discovery frameworks, and proposal templates
\n
• Work closely with the founders to translate our technical capabilities into compelling, buyer-ready messaging across cloud, security, and AI
\n
• Identify the channels, campaigns, and partnerships that generate the highest-quality pipeline and double down on what works
\n
• Lay the groundwork for a scalable sales function — one you could eventually lead as the team grows
\n

Be a Company Builder

\n

\n
• Bring market intelligence back into the business — what clients are asking for, what competitors are doing, where the opportunities are
\n
• Collaborate with delivery and technical teams to make sure what we sell is something we can deliver, and deliver well
\n
• Contribute to our product resale and distribution strategy as we expand beyond services
\n
• Have a voice in how Next Orbit grows — this is a seat at the table, not just a number to hit
\n

What You Bring

\n

\n
• A track record of hunting and closing net-new business — you've opened cold accounts, not just managed warm ones
\n
• Experience at a VAR, systems integrator, or boutique consulting firm — you understand blended deals that combine services delivery with technology resale, and you know how to sell both
\n
• Comfort selling to technical buyers (architects, engineering leads, CISOs) and business stakeholders (VPs, C-suite) — and the instinct to know which conversation you're in
\n
• Familiarity with the cloud, security, or infrastructure ecosystem and the vendor and partner motions that come with it
\n
• Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage environments — you're used to figuring things out as you go, and that doesn't slow you down
\n
• Strong communication and presence — you can run a compelling discovery call, write a tight follow-up, and hold a room in an executive presentation
\n
• Disciplined pipeline management — you know where your deals are and why
\n

Nice to Have

\n

• Background selling cloud, security, DevOps, or infrastructure services or solutions
\n
• Existing relationships in healthcare, financial services, insurance, or retail verticals in the US
\n
• Experience as an early sales hire — you've been through this before and know what building from scratch actually looks like
\n
• Familiarity with co-sell motions through hyperscalers (AWS, GCP) or ISV partners
\n

Compensation

\n

Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission — your earnings grow directly with the business you build. We also offer meaningful equity for the right candidate, reflecting the founding nature of this hire and the long-term value we expect this person to create.
